Mining Simulator (Proof of Work)

In Bitcoin, miners compete to add the next block to the chain. To do so, they must find an arbitrary number (Nonce) that, when hashed together with the block data, produces a Hash starting with a specific number of zeros (Difficulty).

1

Block Data

Modify the data you want to include in the block. In Bitcoin, this includes the hash of the previous block and the Merkle root of the transactions.

2

Difficulty (Target)

Adjust how many leading zeros the Hash must have to be considered valid. Each additional zero geometrically multiplies the difficulty.

Brute Force (Hashing)

Click "Mine Block" to start incrementing the Nonce and calculating SHA-256 hashes non-stop until a valid collision is found.
